Ok guys here is the thing. I am going to be practicing Infineon today. Ive only done this track once or twice. Now can anyone tell me what kind of time frames I should be getting? I will be using open sets also. And it is for tomorrow night.

Thanks,
PGreen

You will do well if you can hit consistant sub 1:19.00's WITHOUT smoking the tires into, through or out of the turns.
You can do well at Infineon (and Watkins Glen) simply by staying on the track and caplitalizing on others' mistakes.

Unless the 05 version is differnt you need to run 1:16's. I have replays of laps in the 1:12 range for q.

Well it looks like Bob will be waving with both hands when you both go by lmao. j/k Bob!

I was out practicing the track today. I thought I had done Infineon before, but I realized that I havent been around the whole track till today. So I am in big trouble. Looks like I will be just cruising around the track for the night. lol! My best time I got was a 1:39 something lmao. I will continue to work on it.

Turn the AI to 100% in Race Weekend mode and get in one of the cars. Watch the braking points and gearing used. It will help you get your lap times down significantly.

1:16s & 17s is about right like George says.
I haven't practiced enough to tell you what I'll be doing but that's the times my teamies are reporting.
This track should be called "slow down to go fast". Forget times and just concentrate on driving the track smoothly.

Dont try to run too loose a setup. Fixed fast setup is capable of running 1:15's with the right driver.
